De Deacon FC traces its roots back to 2011, when it was founded in Lagos, Nigeria, as a grassroots soccer academy dedicated to identifying, developing, and nurturing young football talents. The academy was established with a clear vision: to provide aspiring young players with structured training, mentorship, and opportunities to develop both their football skills and personal character.

From its inception, De Deacon FC focused on creating a positive environment where talented youths could learn the fundamentals of the game, improve their technical and tactical abilities, and embrace the values of discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. The academy quickly became a platform for young grassroots players seeking professional coaching and guidance to help them pursue their football ambitions.

Over the years, De Deacon FC played an important role in youth football development within its local communities, offering training programs designed to help young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field. The club's commitment extended beyond football, emphasizing education, personal growth, and community engagement as essential components of player development.

Following the founder's relocation to the United States, the vision of De Deacon FC evolved from a local academy into a broader mission aimed at connecting football development opportunities across continents. The move opened new possibilities for expanding the club's reach, fostering international partnerships, and creating pathways for talented young players to gain exposure to higher levels of competition and educational opportunities.

Today, De Deacon FC remains committed to its founding principles of youth development, excellence, and community impact. What began as a grassroots football academy in Lagos has grown into an organization driven by the goal of empowering young athletes, inspiring future generations, and using the game of football as a tool for positive social change. Through dedicated coaching, mentorship, and player development initiatives, De Deacon FC continues to build on its legacy while looking toward an exciting future both in Nigeria and beyond.
